TV Today Network sweeps the 6th News and Television Awards
TV Today network one of the leading media conglomerate of the country has bagged 19 awards at the News and Television Awards 2013 held at Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi. The chief guest of the award function was Information and Broadcasting Minister of State (independent charge) Manish Tewari. The event also witnessed representation of various TV news channels reporting in Marathi, Hindi, English and Telugu under one roof.
Aaj Tak, the leading Hindi news channel was the star and winner of the night with 13 prominent awards in its kitty. Aaj Tak won the most prominent awards of the night such as best TV News Presenter, Best TV News Anchor & Best Entertainment News Anchor. Aaj Tak’s Dustak also won the Award for the Best Daily Prime Time News Show. The nation’s leading news channel for the last 12 years also won awards for its various campaign & promos such as ‘Barfi salutes on completing 11 years of dominance’, ‘The Halla Bol – Aaj ka Arjun Chakravyuh contest’, etc.
Apart from winning the Awards for journalistic excellence, Aaj Tak also received Award such as Best Current Affairs Feature, Best Sports Feature, Best Business News Program to strengthen its position as the most trusted news leader of the nation.
TV Today’s English Channel Headlines Today also won awards such as Best Investigative Feature & Best Entertainment News Show to affirm its commitment for the news that matters to the nation. Headlines Today’s special promo for the recent Gujrat election coverage won the award for the Best Promo Campaign by a News Channel (English). The fastest growing English news channel also won the award for Channel Packaging of the Year at the 6th News & television Awards.
Headlines Today’s flagship campaign – Right to be Heard, after winning a lot of accolades & boosting the ratings for the channel has also opened its account in the awards category after winning “The best promo for a channel (English)”.
Not only, Aaj Tak and Headlines Today but TV Today Network’s metro genre centric channel – Tez also won the award for its much acclaimed documentary – Kyoki Hum Bhulate Nahi, in ‘The Best News Documentary – Limited Episodes (Hindi).
