“I used to walk 19 KM daily to dance class” says Govinda’s ultimate Deewanapan for dance
COLOR new offering Dance Deewane is a unique show where it offers a common stage to 3 generations get a chance to showcase their passion for dance. The three finalists, one from each category, competes for the title of being India’s unparalleled Dance Deewana. It is being judged the gorgeous Madhuri Dixit Nene, director Shashank Khaitan and by the very talented Tushar Kalia.
On the recent episode, the stage was glorified by the dancing icon Govinda and viral sensation, ‘Dancing Uncle.’ Govinda also met his old friend, Feroz Khan, who is now one of the contestants and shared how they met at the same dance class when they were young.
He shared his passion and deewanapan for Dance and told how hard he has worked for it. “Dance has always been my first love. It brings a different energy in me. When I was a kid I still remember that I used to walk 19 kilometers a day, as my class was very far from my home. I didn’t have enough money back then to travel by a private vehicle, but my love for dance kept me going. Seeing this deep affection Saroj Khan, my Guru, didn’t charge me a single penny.”
