EXCEED ENTERTAINMENT LAUNCHES EXCEED CARES WITH DIA MIRZA
PLEDGES TO SPEND A TOTAL OF 100 HOURS MENTORING SLUM KIDS
The multi-platform entertainment management company joins hands with the Bollywood actress and kickstarted the event teaching these children and making a difference.
Exceed Entertainment, one of the leading multi-platform entertainment management companies, in their endeavour to contribute towards the welfare of the underprivileged in society has launched Exceed Cares. Having conducted numerous campaigns helping different sectors of society in the past, Exceed Entertainment has broadened their philanthropic efforts through their new partnership with renowned NGO Angel Xpress Foundation under Exceed Cares umbrella. Exceed has committed 100 man-hours towards mentoring kids through their network both within the company and through their celebrity clientele. This alliance was kickstarted by Afsar Zaidi, Founder & Enabler, Exceed Entertainment and actor Dia Mirza who conducted a workshop on sustainable environment practices for kids at Angel Xpress Foundation.
Exceed Cares has over the years played a commendable role in providing monetary aid to the marginalised sections of society. They, along with Angel Xpress, that enables educated committed citizens to tutor, mentor and guide children from the slums, will put their best foot forward towards the cause of educating kids.
Speaking on the workshop, actress Dia Mirza commented, “I am a strong believer in the saying that change begins with us. I am delighted to be a part of this initiative which is inviting individuals to engage in this philanthropic activity in any capacity. – be it time, or money. Right from 2005, Exceed Entertainment, through such causes, has been the leading light towards making a difference in the areas of education, health, and improving the social and cultural ecosystem. With the intention to work at the ground level, Exceed Cares has committed 100 hours of their time to mentoring kids. I will be coming again to spend time teaching the kids and I urge the citizens of Mumbai to offer their valuable time to do the same.”
Talking about the workshop, Exceed Entertainment's founder & enabler Afsar Zaidi said, “Exceed Entertainment, as a group, has been making telling contributions over the years via initiatives that have improved the quality of life in society. Via this extension called Exceed Cares, we look to leverage our philanthropic initiatives that instill the value of giving and bringing about change at the grassroots. The aim of our overall engagement with the NGO is towards guiding children to the right path and creating a sustainable environment for them.
The 100 hours we have committed can go a long way in making a difference for the better and we are hopeful that such endeavours will lead to the betterment of society.”
