Courtyard by Marriott, Pune City Centre hosts a Republic Day Art Competition and Brunch for Hope for the Children Foundation
Pune, 26th January 2014 – Courtyard by Marriott Pune City Centre made this Republic Day special for 20 children from the Shiksha Ki Asha project supported by Hope for the Children Foundation, by inviting them to the hotel and hosting a themed art competition and treating them to a special brunch.
The idea behind the initiative is to express gratitude and to celebrate our great Republic together. Hope for the Children Foundation supports a project Shiksha Ki Asha which is a learning center for underprivileged children, especially girls from age 6 -14 years. A drawing competition was organized where the kids had to show off the artist within them and create an artwork dedicated to our country.
Sketches of schools, villages, our national flower and homes were beautifully hand-drawn and coloured by the children. The kids were then treated to a lavish spread at the Republic Day special brunch at MoMo Café, the all-day restaurant at the hotel. Tri- colour dishes, fresh sugarcane juice, candy floss and popcorn, hair braiding and the jumping castle were just some of the activities the children indulged in.
The Hotel is helping Hope for the Children Foundation in their effort to empower women & children. The NGO distributes food grains, computers, school kits for the children and also conducts medical camps. Apart from this, they also undertake various recreational activities & skill trainings for the children to enhance their personality.
Courtyard by Marriott Pune City Centre boasts of 3 F&B outlets, MoMo Café (the 24×7 coffee shop), MoMo2Go (the in-house deli), and Evviva – Sky Lounge which quickly became the city’s favourite nightspot within just six months of its launch.
