VIBGYOR High Goregaon student wins HT Scholarship 2015

Tamanna Balachandran, a student from Grade 5 of VIBGYOR High Goregaon school won the ‘Hindustan Times Scholarship Programme 2015’.  The winner was awarded with a trophy and scholarship certificate by Imran Khan, a popular Bollywood actor. The scholarship of Rs.50,000 was given in the form of cheque in an award ceremony held today at New Cuffe Parade Arts & Culture Centre.

Tamanna was amongst the top 50 students who were felicitated in the ceremony selected after an interview with Soumya Bhattacharya, Editor, Hindustan Times. These 50 students were chosen from 77,000 entries from 250-300 schools across Mumbai.

“I am indeed proud of Tamanna on her achievement, she is a hardworking girl. I wish her the very best for future endeavors and also congratulate her on the behalf of the VIBGYOR High faculty.” said Mr. Shim Mathew, Principal VIBGYOR High, Goregaon on the success of his student.

‘HT Scholarship’ is open for students who are studying in classes 5th to 9th and who have scored more than 60% in their last year’s final examination. Students can participate in the Scholarship Program by filling the nomination forms which shall be made available at select Schools and published in Hindustan Times, Mumbai Edition.
