Zoya Akhtar’s film to be screened at Mumbai Women’s International Film Festival (MWIFF)

Women’s International Film Festival (MWIFF) to be organized in Mumbai by Oculus Creations from 8th to14th October 2013 with the support of Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) aims to bring forward the women filmmakers and giving them the spotlight they truly deserve.

To support the aim of the festival, the festival gets the support of top Bollywood celebrities.

Zoya Akhtar is the Bollywood’s leading filmmaker who has made critically acclaimed films like ‘Talash’, ‘Bombay Talkies’, ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and also won the filmfare best director award.

“MWIFF will be screening the films of Zoya Akhtar ‘Luck by Chance’ and ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ for Zoya is an example to all the women filmmakers who aspire to set a mark inthe industry. Zoya Akhtar is amongst the top Bollywood female filmmakers who stand at

a position which only few female filmmakers have managed to achieve” said the festival director, Avinash Pawar.

ZNMD and Luck By Chance will be screened at MWIFF 2013 in the ‘World Panorama’ section. MWIFF in its first year will be screening over 180 films from across 70 nations. The delegates can register through festival’s website www.mwiff.com to be a part of the festival.

The festival is coming up with Pink Carpet Opening and Closing Ceremony and will be honouring the women directors and technicians.
