Yuva Sena organised Job Fair in collaboration with Nanojobs.com

….fair focused on providing numerous job opportunities to blue and grey collar category comprising of security guards, drivers, maids, office assistant amongst several others.….4685 Candidates participated in a 3 day job affair in Mumbai

Aimed at showcasing career opportunities for the mid and low level staff and job-seekers comprising of security guards, drivers, maids, office assistant, delivery boy, housekeeping staff and several others in the private sector, Mumbai’s young and premier portal, Nanojobs.com in collaboration with the Yuva Sena, organised the Job Fair – Rojgaar Nandini Shibir from August 16th – 18th, 2013 in Mumbai.

The response received was phenomenal with over 4685 walk ins, 2638 cv’s received. Amongst the ones received, 594 cvs have already shortlisted and the procedure is currently on. These figures stood testimony to the fact that even though several portals exist for long, there was a huge void for the ‘Nano’ jobs which seems to have been bridged by Nanojobs.com.

Jobs were given to the job-seekers for FREE of cost. Hence Nanojobs.com as a company finds jobs for everybody belonging to every strata of society. So even a peon or a helper or a labourer who attended this job-fair are now hopeful to get better jobs and a better life. The job fair adopted an integrated approach in addressing the employment and employability issues by making jobs available to the candidates according to potential and educational qualification. The job fair did not only aim to bring job seekers and employers under one roof but also seeked to guide candidates on various career paths and innovative job hunt tactics, that are available in Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Vasai-Virar and adjoining areas.

Both the young and enthusiastic founders Vikash Chowdhury and Anupam Sinhal,  who started the company ‘NanoJobs.com’, based on a requirement that they had to fulfil in a very short span, felt the response the job fair received has only made them more determined to organise many more of these in the coming future. Says Anupam Sinhal – Director, Nanojobs.com, “We always wanted to create a platform where the jobseeker and the hiring company can connect with a hassle free approach and with the Rojgaar Nandini Shibir we seemed to have hit the bull’s eye.

Post this; we aim to take this model to different cities in Maharashtra and further to all India”.

Sada Sarvankar (Ex MLA/Vibhag Pramukh Vibhag–6, Samadhan Sarvankar (Upadhyaksh – Yuva bridage) and Rohan Deshpande (Vibhag Yuva) were present at the event.

The applications received in this job-fair will now be sent to more than 100 different companies who have requirements for such staff. The idea is to make best talent available to the industry across various verticals.
