ALBUM – SENSUOUS CHILL – AVAILABLE JANUARY 29th

Global superstar Yanni announces a new album and PBS Special with corresponding DVD and Blu-Ray. His new album, SENSUOUS CHILL, is available worldwide via Sony Music Masterworks imprint Portrait Records on January 29th. His new PBS Special – YANNI: THE DREAM CONCERT – LIVE FROM THE GREAT PYRAMIDS OF EGYPT will air nationwide in March. A DVD and Blu-Ray of the special will be available as well.

SENSUOUS CHILL comes mere weeks after Yanni made history with two sold out performances at the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. Yanni’s first new release since 2014’s chart-topping INSPIRATO, the album features Yanni exploring new realms of sound and creativity inspired by his extensive world travels. Tracks like ‘Rapture’ and the bhangra-spiced ‘Dance For Me’ are among the most physically stimulating on SENSUOUS CHILL offering a new sonic perspective on his adventures and experiences amidst myriad aspects of global culture.

Adds Yanni,India is special to me, I have great love and respect for the people and their cultural heritage. The track ‘Dance For Me’ has been inspired by my many experiences in India. I have been fortunate to have visited India several times and I have had the pleasure of learning about your music from my interaction with several Indian musical artists. These moments in life are reflected in the music that I write. I am looking forward to performing in India soon.

Yanni – accompanied by his 15-member international orchestra – celebrates SENSUOUS CHILL with a major North American tour, embarking on February 2nd in  Sarasota, FL at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall and then traveling into the spring.

Yanni’s forthcoming PBS Special YANNI: THE DREAM CONCERT – LIVE FROM THE GREAT PYRAMIDS OF EGYPT – features Yanni and his global orchestra performing before a full sold out two-night audience in front of the pyramids in Egypt. The event was captured in 4K high definition audio/video for broadcast next year on PBS stations nationwide. In addition, the special will be available to fans via Blu-Ray and DVD. YANNI: THE DREAM CONCERT – LIVE AT THE GREAT PYRAMIDS OF EGYPT will mark Yanni’s 12th LIVE PBS special and first since 2012’s acclaimed concert special YANNI: LIVE AT EL MORRO, PUERTO RICO, filmed in San Juan, Puerto Rico’s 16th century Castillo de San Felipe del Morro.
