Partnership with Air France brings renowned dance troupe to India for two exclusive performances

Accor, the largest international hotel operator in Asia-Pacific and Air France, presented the world-acclaimed dance and entertainment troupe, the Moulin Rouge from Paris, to the city of Mumbai, as a part of the “World of Accor” celebrations. An exceptional performance by the Moulin Rouge marked the event in the luxurious settings of the Sofitel Mumbai BKC today.

While “World of Accor” – Accor’s global sales exposition – provides an opportunity for its valued clients to discover the Group’s brand portfolio, as well as meet hotel representatives from around the Accor world, the event also presented a platform for Air France to further strengthen their relationship with their loyal customers in India.

“A Taste of Moulin Rouge” at World of Accor highlighted Accor’s unique French heritage by providing India a taste of a quintessentially Parisian experience. The 17 gorgeous dancers set the stage on fire with their stunning performance, and of course, the “cancan” – set against the Moulin Rouge’s iconic windmill – captivated the audience, who marvelled at the elaborate costumes that epitomise the richness of the French culture.

According to Jean-Michel Cassé, Senior Vice-PresidentOperations, Accor India, “Accor’s service philosophy is rooted in our French origins. As our hotel brands grow their presence in India, we are keen to familiarise our customers and partners with our heritage and present a taste of our French culture and glamour in India. World of Accor validates our commitment not only in terms of expansion in the country but also engaging our key clients in India with our global network.”

Commenting about the event, Fahmi Mahjoub, Commercial Director India, Air France-KLM said, “Air France has been constantly making efforts to build a connection with its Indian customers. Keeping this focus in mind, we are delighted to help bring the French musical dance entertainment of Moulin Rouge to our esteemed Indian customers and hope they rejoice in this entertaining performance and get acquainted with the French heritage experience. This has also been a great opportunity for our two renowned French brands – Air France and Accor – to join hands to offer our Indian customers a unique cultural experience.”

Accor’s initiative of celebrating France in India, through the alluring performances of the most famous entertainment troupe from Paris, the Moulin Rouge, aims to showcase the extraordinary romance of French culture. “We are proud to continue developing our excellent partnership with Accor, Europe and Asia’s leading hotel operator,” said Fanny Rabasse, Press Relations Manager, Moulin Rouge. “Following performances in Australia, China and Japan with Accor, we are once again reunited in India to celebrate the glamour and luxury that characterises both our companies. We are excited to be performing in the newly opened and exceptional, world class hotel that combines the French and Indian style – the luxurious Sofitel Mumbai BKC.”

This event represents an occasion to celebrate the friendship between India and France and to promote the exceptional tourism opportunities that both the Moulin Rouge and Accor have to offer to the key Indian outbound travel market.
