Says Raaj Shaandilyaa, “While looking for a writer, director Omung Kumar and producer Sandeep Singh & Bhushan Kumar had a tight deadline for the film ‘Bhoomi’. They later met me. It was Sandeep who had all faith in me and I am extremely thankful to him for this opportunity.”
When the film’s producers conveyed the same to Sanjay Dutt, he was skeptical about it. However, when Raaj narrated the script of ‘Bhoomi’ to Sanjay Dutt, he was spellbound by all the hard work put in by Raaj. “Dutt sahab cried & hugged me tightly. He once told me that a writer can write anything and so, I worked 15 hours a day to complete this project. I am very thankful that I got such a wonderful opportunity to write a melodrama script for him. He is a very genuine person in real life and even gave his inputs for some of the scenes.”
On hearing the script of ‘Bhoomi’, director Omung Kumar and producers Sandeep Singh & Bhushan Kumar feel that Raaj has done complete justice to it.
Raaj Shaandilyaa, notably known as the comedy king, for his contribution as an acclaimed writer in the comedy genre, has added a new feather to his cap with the script of the upcoming Sanjay Dutt starrer ‘Bhoomi’. Raaj Shaandilyaa who holds a 2013 record in the Limca Book of Records for having written 625 scripts says this is his first script which isn’t revolving around comedy and is excited to be a part of the project.
‘Bhoomi’ is an emotional and sensitive revenge drama that explores the relationship between a father and daughter.
