Vivek Oberoi turns a storyteller at a Literature Festival!

vivek Oberoi --

Breaking into the medium of books recently, Vivek Oberoi voiced his two cents on literature for a session at Kala Ghoda. Making it clear that books and films have much in common, the actor flexed his literary muscles as he took to the mic at the literature festival.

Vivek narrated an interesting yesteryear trivia about ‘Chemmeen’, a book penned by Anita Nair. Its story revolves around the relationship between Karutthamma, a Hindu woman from the fisherfolk community, and Pareekkutty, the son of a Muslim fish wholesaler, but the former marries Palani, who, despite the scandal about his wife’s past, never stops trusting her.

Vivek pointed out that the book and the movie based on it were both successes because of the conflicts and the tight plot of the story. He not only engaged the audience with discussion but also, shed light on some of the greatest stories Indians know.

On the professional front, the talented actor, who made his debut on the digital platform last year with Inside Edge will soon be seen in ALTBalaji’s, A Family, which is based on the underworld in Mumbai.
