The filmmaker’s daughter Krishna helped him find a date online for his undercover research on ‘Love Games’

Vikram Bhatt – whose upcoming film ‘Love Games’ spills the bedroom secrets of high society – reveals that it was his daughter Krishna who advised him to try dating through online sites as part of research for the film. Vikram shares that it was while writing ‘Love Games’ that his daughter suggested that he install the dating app Tinder, as she explained, “That’s the app you need to install if you want to hook up!” And Vikram who was keen on going undercover for this research agreed.

After installing the app and getting a hang of the basics: Swipe right to like and left to dislike the photographs of the women, Vikram found himself looking at pictures of several women. Even though he admitted to finding the concept of liking or disliking someone on basis of their looks alone very shallow, Krishna insisted that its how it is done.
“That’s the way it is, right swipe selectively,” she asserted.

After several swipes, the flame sign shows up indicating a match. He shares, “Katie (name changed), an airhostess who wants a no-strings attached relationship got Krishna’s go-ahead and soon a conversation later I had a dinner date.”

Recalling the date, Vikram shares that he was nervous, “I am nervous. Sex is very much on the table, along with the soup and the starters. She is lovely and her sharp brown eyes seem to ask why Vikram Bhatt needs Tinder,” he says, adding, “The conversation is warm and intelligent, but as we reach dessert the ‘hook up’ sign looms large.”

However Vikram wasn’t keen on taking it that further. He adds, “Sex? I don’t want to go there, this is just research for me. And it’s almost like she read my mind, and said, “I had a good time but I think I must go home. Tired.”

But it wasn’t that she disliked Vikram as she added with a sad smile, “Don’t get me wrong. I really enjoyed dinner but you are someone I can fall in love with and love scares me.”

Back home, when Krishna excitedly asked Vikram about his date, he replied,
“I have realised we are either falling or running away from love. We are not really playing games with each other; we are all just playing games with love.”

Written and directed by Vikram Bhatt, the film is presented by T-Series and Mahesh Bhatt. Produced by Mukesh Bhatt & T-Series, ‘Love Games’ stars Gaurav Arora, Tara Alisha Berry and Patralekha and is slated to release on 8th April, 2016.
