VFS Global enhances THAI Visa Application Centres and services in South Asia

VFS Global has been serving the Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi and Bangladesh as well as Royal Thai Consulate General in Chennai since 2005.
Thailand has been a popular holiday and business destination for travellers from South Asia. This demand continues to grow and to support this, VFS Global has worked closely with the Government of Thailand to offer a convenient and efficient Visa Application Process. The boost in tourism and business has prompted tremendous growth in Indian nationals travelling to Thailand.
The partnership between VFS Global and the Government of Thailand commenced with operations in New Delhi and Chennai. This expanded to Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Cochin. Today VFS Global’s network of Thai Visa Application Centres includes operations in New Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kochi. In addition to these centres, the company has Courier Submissions Centres in Agra, Amritsar, Dehradun, Jaipur, Ludhiana, and Jalandhar. Furthermore, VFS Global has been serving the Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka with Visa Application Centres in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhethandling short term visa applications.
Earlier this year, VFS Global relocated the Thai Visa Application Centre in New Delhi to a more spacious premise accommodating more counters and increasing the number of applications accepted on a daily basis. This follows the upgrade and enhancement of Visa Application facilities VFS Global offers in Chennai and Kochi. VFS Global offers expertise and technology that support a convenient process that is secure and efficient. The services encompass information services, call centre support, dedicated multi-lingual and online website support with application tracking facilities.
On 1 May 2014, HE Mr ThongchaiChasawath, Director-General of the Consular Affairs Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, in his address during the visit to the new Thailand Visa Application Centre in New Delhi praised the VFS Global team for its excellent visa support services to applicants, and stated that Thailand is set to welcome increased number of travellers from India.

VFS Global will be responsible only for accepting applications for the Thai visas. All applications will continue to be assessed by theRoyal Thai Embassy and Thai Consulate General in India. Timelines for turnaround of visas are as per the discretion of the authorities.
