The film based on a Japanese video game has wooed the audience with its earlier movies and the fifth film in the series returns with more action, more chase of and by zombies and more struggle of the savior Alice to save the earth from getting annihilated because of the deadly T-virus. Resident Evil-Retribution of Sony Pictures opens up for the Indian audience on 28th September.

The virus is rapidly engulfing the global population and is ravaging the earth, the transformation of the human race into the lethal dead continues. Only ray of hope for the survivors is the solace of their only rescuer- Alice. The film starts from where it left off as Alice wakes up to find herself in the heart of Umbrella’s most impenetrable operations facility. Her attempts to defy death and escape from the Umbrella Corporation’s vast, high-tech complex with the help of a crew of elite commandos. Alice battles her way through the cityscapes of Tokyo, New York City, Moscow and Washington, D.C. Along the way, Alice will encounter a series of mind-blowing revelations that will force her to rethink everything she once believed. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice finds a new reason to fight for the survival of a hostile world on the brink of oblivion.

Once again in the character of Alice will be the talented Actress Milla Jovovich. Joining Jovovich on the mission to save the earth will be Michelle Rodriguez, Kevin Durand, Sienna Guillory, Shawn Roberts, Aryana Engineer, Colin Salmon, Johann Urb, Boris Kodjoe and Li Bingbing. The film is written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, and is produced by Jeremy Bolt, Paul W.S. Anderson, Robert Kulzer, Don Carmody and Samuel Hadida.

The one hour 35 minutes film will be releasing in 3D all over India in Hindi, English and Tamil while its Telugu release is slated for 5th October. The film promises to engage not only the gamers or the franchise-loyals but will garner appreciation from the first timers, assure the film makers.
