Priyanka launches the video of “Exotic” at the Hard Rock Café in Mumbai
Following the success of“In My City” ft. Will.i.am which went on to become the biggest selling `single’ in India, leading music label Universal Music India is pleased to announce the release of “Exotic” featuring Pitbull(Interscope Geffen A&M, Desi Hits! and 2101 Records). This is the second single off Priyanka’supcoming debut International studio album. The hotly anticipated single “Exotic” has been released on both digital as well as physical formats.
“Exotic” brings together the critically acclaimed actress Priyanka Chopra and Pitbull, AKA “Mr. Worldwide”, in a high-energy dance track, the first-everinternational collaboration with a Bollywood superstar.
The video of “Exotic”was shot in Miami and features Pitbull. Priyanka introduced and then previewed the video to a packed media house at the Hard Rock Café in Mumbai. “It’s very dance-heavy, and in India, that’s what we do in all of our movies, so it definitely has an Indian flavor to it” says Priyanka on the video.
On the song “Exotic”, Priyanka says “I wrote these lyrics for my new track, ‘Pardesibabu ne is DesidilkomaanLiyahai,’ which means, ‘this foreign guy has taken my Indian heart.’In this case there are two guys!.I recorded “Exotic” in Ibiza with musical genius and visionary RedOne (guy #1), and none other than Mr. Worldwide aka Pitbull (guy #2). Together they helped me create a hot and sexy dance anthem that I am so proud of! This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to share this song and the rest of the album with you!”.

“Exotic” is produced by Grammy Award winning mega-producer and songwriter RedOne, with vocals by Priyanka and Pitbull. The track infuses a seductive mix of pop, hip-hop, and electro with accents of contemporary and classic Indian music, plus Hindi lyrics written and performed by Priyanka – these resonances are consistently woven throughout each track on the upcoming album.
Chopra, who is a classically trained singer, is one of India’s most celebrated actresses, with a significant fan base that spans the UK, Europe, Middle East and Canada. She has enjoyed phenomenal success internationally, appearing in more than 40 movies and winning many of India’s most coveted awards. This is the former Miss World’s first foray into the global music scene after being discovered by east/west collaborator AnjulaAcharia-Bath and Interscope Geffen A&M Chairman and CEO Jimmy Iovine.
Her debut International single “In My City”featuring Will.I.Amwas launched in Mumbai last September. The song went on to break all records in India selling over 250,000singles (cumulative)till date.
