TOMMY HILFIGER RECEIVES “FASHION VISIONARY” AWARD
AT THE DAILY FRONT ROW’S FASHION MEDIA AWARDS IN NEW YORK CITY
The American designer was presented the honor by supermodel Gigi Hadid, ambassador for ‘Tommy Hilfiger’ womenswear and co-designer of the ‘TommyXGigi’ collaborative collection.
WHO: Tommy Hilfiger, which is owned by PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH], announces that Mr. Tommy Hilfiger attended the Daily Front Row’s Fashion Media Awards in New York City on September 8, 2016. Hilfiger was honored with the “Fashion Visionary” award, in recognition of the contributions he has made to the global fashion industry over his 40-year career.
Hilfiger was introduced by supermodel Gigi Hadid, who presented the award to him while wearing a custom-designed bronze and midnight blue degradé striped floor-length gown, with vintage glass bead detailing, by Hilfiger Collection.
“Tommy’s brand is globally renowned for pioneering ‘classic American cool’ style and celebrating individuality,” said Gigi Hadid. “We’ll continue that tradition when we debut our very first collaborative collection together tomorrow and invite fans and friends to experience it with us on one of the most innovative, fun sets.”
The ceremony’s host, actor Alan Cumming, wore a gray seersucker single-breasted, notch lapel suit with a white dress shirt and striped silk tie, by Tommy Hilfiger Tailored.
Mr. Hilfiger was joined by his wife, Dee Hilfiger, who wore a pewter and gold sequin tea dress from the Fall ’16 Hilfiger Collection.
“Thank you to the Fashion Media Awards for this incredible honor, and thank you Gigi for your introduction – you’ve been an amazing collaborator,” said Tommy Hilfiger in his acceptance speech.
