Tiger Shroff, Suraj Pancholi, Athiya Shetty and others extend support to VVIP Universal Entertainment’s INK Cricket Blast 2017 to create awareness about cancer
VVIP Universal Entertainment led by producer and young entrepreneur Imtiaz Khatri announced INK Cricket Blast 2017 powered by Intex, an initiative to create Cancer awareness. Bollywood celebrities like Tiger Shroff, Suraj Pancholi, Esha Gupta, Athiya Shetty, Pooja Hegde, Armaan Malik, Honey Singh, Adah Sharma, Guru Randhwa and others have shown their support to INK Cricket Blast to create awareness of early detection of cancer and its treatment. Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital, Pune, which has one of the most advance cancer facilities in Maharashtra, has joined hands with VVIP Universal to organize a Blood donation camp to support blood supply during cancer treatment.
Commenting on this Imtiaz Khatri, Founder and CEO, VVIP Universal Entertainment said, “In India people are most passionate about Bollywood and cricket. We thought of combining these two to create awareness about cancer, which is treatable, especially if detected early. It’s important for people to know that timely treatment can cure cancer completely. INK Cricket Blast will help us take this message to every household in India”. He further added, “We are glad to partner with Aditya Birla Memorial hospital who have come forward to support our cause of cancer awareness. They are also conducting a blood donation camp on the day of Celebrity Cricket Match to collect blood for their blood bank to support cancer patient treatments and bone marrow transplant”.
“Imtiaz is a friend and when he approached me to support such a noble cause of cancer awareness, I readily agreed. Cricket being a passion since childhood, I also co-own a team with Imtiaz in the league. I am looking forward to a great performance from the team”, said Suraj Pancholi.
An initiative of VVIP Universal Entertainment, the INK Cricket Blast 2017 brings corporate, celebrities and prominent personalities under one roof to support the cause of cancer awareness. Scheduled over 20 days in 4 weekends, participating teams include Sach Superstars, All Monsters, Mumbai Dreamz, I Love Mumbai, Mumbai Mustangs, RSBL Kings 11, Super Strikers comprising players from Real Estate industry like Ram Raheja, Roshan Sachdeo, Vivek Kothari and managers from the corporate world as well as renowned personalities from Bollywood. The last day of the league will witness a Celebrity Cricket Match, which will be led by the Bollywood heartthrobs Tiger Shroff and Suraj Pancholi as captains of two teams. The match will offer one of its kinds, action-packed, fun-filled version of the game of cricket as the celebrity teams tussle against each other in a friendly match to support the cause of cancer awareness.
