Padmaavat has now become the biggest hit of his career having surpassed Bajirao Mastani’s lifetime collections of 188 crore.
“It feels amazing. As an entertainer, box office numbers are a validation that I am being able to entertain audiences and to me that’s everything,” says Ranveer. Padmaavat has so far collected 192.50 crore nett.
Ranveer has been the toast of the country with his incredible performance as the ruthless, merciless Khilji. Ranveer’s acting been hailed as outstanding and path-breaking and critics have unanimously credited him for giving Bollywood one of its most iconic villains of all time.
“My intention with every project has been to make audiences believe in the character that I have been given to portray on screen. Khilji was one of my toughest roles, furthermore the process of creating Khilji has been extremely rewarding, so this success is incredibly special,” Ranveer adds.
Ranveer has created several new box office records with Padmaavat. He film hit 100 crore in just 4 days, Making him the only young star to record this incredible feat. He also delivered his career best opening day of 19 crore and recorded his biggest single day collection ever – 32 crore on Republic Day.
