Another reason to check the recent trailerof Balaji’s Kya Super Kool Hai Hum ,the makers take a friendly dig at KaranJohar’s 2001 family drama Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham withthe tagline “Some movies bring families together, this is not that movie”.
The trailer of the comedy opens to the signature tune andshot from K3G and is already a rage online. Director Karan Johar who shares agreat equation with producer Ekta Kapoor was very excited and took it like a sport.
Talking about the spoof says director Karan Johar , “Thetrailer is insanely funny and the manner in which some footage of K3G has beenintegrated in it, gives the actors’ reactions a whole new meaning!”
Says a source “ Karan and Ekta are thick friends and Ekta wantedthe film to beinterspersed with number of shots from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Karan was a thorough sport and was among thefirst to encourage it. He found the promo hilarious”.
After the runaway success ofBalaji Motion Pictures ‘ 2005 hit comedy Kyaa Kool Hain Hum,the team of the film reunites for the rib-tickling sequel, titled Kya Super Kool Hai Humstarring Tusshar, Riteish Deshmukh, Neha Sharma and Sarah-Jane Dias.
Talking about the film say lead Riteish Deshmukh “The jokes have gone a notch higher up and a tad belowthe belt”.
“We were the ones who first gave Kya Kool Hai Hum. The spirit remains the same and so does thetreatment”, adds Tusshar.
The film is scheduled torelease on August 2, 2012.
