Blitzkrieg 2014 was held on the campus of K.C. College, Blitzkrieg 2014, the annual media festival organized by the Mass Media Department of Kishinchand Chellaram College is back on the 28th and 29th November. The theme of the festival this year is fictional places from the world of books, films, television serials and video games.

 Indian journalist who is the Editor-in-Chief and News anchor of the Indian news channel Arnab Goswami, Industrialist and Philanthropist Aneel Murarka and Indian singer Kavita Seth graced Blitzkrieg- K.C College’s Annual Mass Media fest) as Guest of Honor for their generous and selfless support and contribution to the student’s community.

The pioneers of various fields stands as firm as a pillar of support to the youth of the nation; it is their passion and zeal towards the betterment that compelled the dignitaries to grace the festival  Blitzkrieg- K.C College’s Annual Mass Media fest) as Guest of Honor.

 The festival commenced with unveiling the logo of the festival. Capturing the essence of the Indian Rituals the unveiling of logo was followed by lighting the auspicious lamp as a favorable start and sign of future success for the festival.

 The festival witnessed participation from around 40 colleges of the city the likes of St. Xavier’s College, Jai Hind College, H.R. College, St. Andrew’s College, R.D. National College, Wilson College, Thakur College, L.S Raheja College, etc.

 Adding to the merriment in a short yet inspiring conversation with the students, Aneel Murarka said “I wish the students all the luck for the festival. As much as I feel education is important I truly believe participating in festivals and taking part in extra curriculum is equally important. It gives a sense of confidence and a refreshing change from studies”.

Setting the tone for the rest, Aneel Murarka shared a few words of wisdom with principal, teachers and students; he said “I feel absolutely honored to support Blitzkrieg. I totally believe that future of our country is in the hands of the youth of our nation. For the progress of our country guiding and encouraging the youth towards a bright future is very essential”.

 The event concluded with Aneel ji reviving his college days, “College days are the golden days of everyone’s life.  Supporting festivals and being a part of such festivals helps me revisiting me college days”.

Ms. Manju Nichani, the Principal of K.C. College said, “Year after year the ideas that the students implement are excellent. They put up a show full of energy and attract great crowds and eminent personalities to the college.”

Prof. Manjula Srinivas, the head of the Mass Media Department at K.C College said, “Blitzkrieg holds over a decade’s legacy of stimulating creativity and bringing together almost all mass media students of the city under one roof. Every year the students of SYBMM come up with newer ideas to make it grand.” On the one hand Blitzkrieg fosters camaraderie, while on the other it enthuses the competitive spirit of every participant. This year it will host more than 20 events in an variety of fields like Dance, Theatre, Film-making, Journalism, Advertising, Photography, Sports, etc with contingents like King’s Landing (GoT), Meluha (Immortals of Meluha), ‘Pandora (Avatar)”.
