The Disney chronicles of the Singh Family
Disney Channel premieres the once in a lifetime experience of the Singh family at Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando through their on air special ‘Jet Set Go 3’ series.
Find yourself a comfortable spot on the couch and wait for magical familial experiences to unravel on your television sets. For the first time since the launch of Disney’s iconic campaign ‘Jet Set Go’, the channel will chronicle the magical journey of the five lucky Indian families who flew to the five Disneyland destinations across the World. And this Sunday, Disney Channel will bring alive the wonderful trip of the Mumbai-based Singh family’s visit to the Happiest Place on Earth for millions of its viewers.
The magic begins with the family’s meet and greet with one of young Anandita’s favourite Disney Princess – Cinderella. It was truly a beautiful moment as Anandita found herself spell-bounded during a tête-à-tête with the beautiful princess as Cinderella’s Castle glimmered in the background. But the fairy tale didn’t end there, the Singh Family continued to live their magical moment with all the other Disney Princesses through a fine-dining experience at ‘Cinderella’s Royal Table’ Meanwhile, the ‘Andy’ of the house – Aman too lived his dream, seeing his favourite toys Buzz and Woody come to live in Toy Story land.
Another proud achievement, yes an achievement, that episode captures is to witness Mrs. Singh overcome her phobia of thrill rides. Mr. Singh and the kids were determined to have Mrs. Singh experience at least one of the rides and not wanting to disappoint them, she convinced herself. By the end of it, she had taken more than just one. Ask her about it and Mrs. Singh gushes “I became a child with my children; it was experience that just cannot be expressed in words. Initially I was scared of getting on the sky-high rides but after experiencing Soarin ride, I took a plunge with Everest ride and Rock-Roller-Coaster ride and now I want to visit Disneyland every year, just to experience this!”
