Hollywood producer Philip Lee will share his thoughts on “Mounting and Positioning the Epic across Cultures  at the Knowledge Series session of 10th Film Bazaar held in Goa from Nov 20-24, 2016~

Mumbai,  The 10th edition of NFDC Film Bazaar held from November 20th to 24th 2016 at Marriott, Goa will have a series of interesting and engaging  ‘Knowledge Series’ sessions this year.

Knowledge Series consists of specially curated presentations, lectures and panel discussions with key decision makers and market drivers of the film industry.

One of the key highlights of the Knowledge Series this year will be a Master Class conducted by Philip Lee, the producer of acclaimed Hollywood filmsThe RevenantCloud AtlasCrouching TigerHidden Dragon on  Mounting and Positioning the Epic across Cultures.

Philip Lee will share his insights,learnings and more on how he gauges the potential of new concepts, place them in the context of  their cultures and build them into universal stories ,mount & make them epic like in the expanse of their thought & eventually execution and position them for the huge releases & successes that they have been. His filmography reads like the Masters’ Gallery and his work reflects the simple truth – that if a story is universal in theme and appeal it will cut across cultures and work globally.

The Knowledge Series consists of specially curated presentations, lectures and panel discussions with key decision makers and market drivers of the film industry.

Over multiple sessions during the four days of Film Bazaar, the Knowledge Series covers a wide range of topics including (but not limited to) the evolution of content through changing socio–economic structures, expanding genres, conventional and innovative platforms of distribution, various emerging co-production possibilities, international collaborations and treaties, and the art of navigating various film festivals and markets.

Among the speakers are business unit heads of major media corporations (studios/producers/distributors etc.), top executives of organizations connected with the film industry, independent aggregators and content providers from across the world.

Film Bazaar is a platform exclusively created to encourage collaboration between the international and South Asian film fraternities. The market aims at facilitating the sales of world cinema in the region. The 2015 market saw an attendance of 1102 delegates from 38 countries with a country delegation from Canada. The 10th Edition of Film Bazaar will be held from 20-24 November 2016 at the Marriott Resort in Goa, India.
