BecomeShakespeare.com and Title Waves hosted the book launch of Author, Nim Gholkar’s ‘Unravelling Anjali: Diary of an Immigrant Bride’ on 30th November 2014.

The venue was filled with fans, curious readers and media along with friends and family of the author. The event began with unveiling of the book followed by the author reading her favourite excerpts to an eager audience. The book has been generating a lot of waves globally due to unique storyline of the book where an Indian immigrant woman falls in love after getting married, outside of her marriage. Nim lives in Australia and is travelling across several countries to promote the book. Her first international halt is in India where she will also be speaking at the prestigious Goa Lit Fest in December, with several other readings and events to promote her book. The audience and media asked the author for personal references to the story, which the author diplomatically passed on.

Nim Gholkar was quoted saying, ‘Writing “Unravelling Anjali: Diary of an Immigrant Bride” has been a labour of love. It’s a story that has been in my head for many years. I believe it will resonate with every woman who has searched for the meaning of true love and dared to look within herself to find her own identity.’ The evening ended with the author signing copies for the enthusiastic fans and readers.

About the Author

Nim Gholkar was born and raised in Mumbai, India. She graduated in English Literature from University of Mumbai before moving to Australia in 1996. Her blog Nim’s Niche is a kaleidoscope of musings on life and its many reflections. She loves travelling, reading, playing badminton and singing karaoke. Unravelling Anjali is her debut novel. Nim lives in Sydney with her husband, three children and a lovable Rhodesian ridgeback called Cody.
