The Asian Brand & Leadership Summit 2013 commences in Dubai

Dubai: Asia’s Most Promising Brands & Leaders 2012-2013 flagged off The Asian Brand & Leadership Summit 2013 with a focus on ‘How UAE is contributing to the Global Economy’. An initiative by World Consulting & Research Corporation (WCRC) and ibrands 360 research, Asia’s Most Promising Brands is the largest multi-platform brand credibility project involving the most promising brands and leaders from various Asian countries that have contributed to the scintillating success story and charted a path-breaking progression blueprint of the Asian economy.

Speaking on the occasion, Special Guest of Honour – H.E. Hamdan Mohamed Al Murshidi, President and Chairman, Arab Business Club said, “UAE is ranked number 28 as the easiest places to do business, according to a report in 2013. It has proved to be a safe haven for investors in spite of the global financial crisis. Since its formation, the UAE has transformed from its focus on oil & gas to huge players in banking, real estate and manufacturing. Economic reports show that with the Dubai Expo 2020, there will be a positive impact on employment.” He also thanked World Consulting & Research Corporation (WCRC) for choosing Dubai to showcase some excellent journeys of brands and their leaders from across Asia.

With the theme ‘RISE OF ASIA’, day one of the two day Summit brought to the fore companies that have shown tremendous growth in a highly competitive environment. Brands participating at the Summit are from various categories viz. Finance, Technology, Pharma, Healthcare, Commodities, Entertainment and Lifestyle and more and was attended by luminaries of the marketing, advertising and branding spectrum including corporate leaders, marketing communication heads, brand custodians and business professionals across Asia, VIPs and dignitaries. Leaders and dignitaries also shared valuable insights, their extensive experience and incisive comprehension of market trends and their brands goals and vision.

Day 2 of the Summit will open with a with a Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai; H.E. Sanjay Verma, Consul General, India; Ms. Priti Patel, Member of Parliament, House of Commons, United Kingdom as the key note speakers. The day will also include sessions focusing on the Service Industry, which will be moderated by Professor Malcolm McDonald, Emeritus Professor of Marketing at Cranfield University School of Management; Consumer Non Durables & Lifestyle moderated by Ms. Priti Patel, British MP; Infrastructure Industry by Mr. Ajay Kapur- CEO , Ambuja Cement ( India) and Mr. Tulsi Tanti, Chairman, Suzlon (India); Consumer Durables and Manufacturing moderated by Mr. Ashish Bhasin, CEO, SEA of Aegis Media (Singapore).   

The evening session with Guest of Honour, H.E. M.K. Lokesh, Ambassador of India who will speak about The Rise of Asia. The evening will also unveil the Industries No 1 Brand Award along with the Launch of Asia’s Most Promising Brands coffee table book, Launch of Asia’s Most Promising Leaders coffee table book and Top 50 Asia’s Most Promising Leaders Award.
