Saptsur to conclude its three city tour in Thane featuring artistes like Anand Bhate, Rahul Deshpande, Sawani Shende and Saylee Talwalkar

Thane,  Saptsur presents “Teerth Vitthal” a unique concert of abhangs and devotional songs dedicated to Lord Panduranga. Devotees of Lord Panduranga, especially in Maharashtra, treat Ashadi Ekadashi as the most auspicious day and millions amongst them walk in groups singing ‘Abhangs’, in praise of their Lord.

Teerth Vitthal was initiated with an objective of praising Lord Vitthal by maestros singing and music lovers and devotees flowing with it. There are many great saints including Sant Dyaneshwar, Sant Tukaram, Sant Gora Kumbhar, and Sant Janabai has penned various abhangs devoted to Lord Panduranga.

At Thane, the concert will be held on the July 21, 2013 at Dr Kashinath Ghanekar Auditorium from 7:30 p.m. onwards.

Saptsur commenced third year of Teerth Vitthal with a three city concert tour from the 13th of July to the 21st of July, 2013. The concert tour began from Goa on 13th July followed by Kolhapur on 14th July and will conclude at Thane.  

This year will have one of the most respected talents in classical and playback singing, the phenomenal Sawani Shende, the famous vocal artist Rahul Deshpande, who is taking forward the rich legacy of classical music to new stature, National Award Winner Balgandharva fame Anand Bhate and the fast-rising promising young vocal artist Saylee Talwalkar will be featured at the concert tour.

Teerth Vitthal is an effort to bring the youth of India closer to our traditional values and philosophy of life visualized by the many saint poets like Namdeo, Tukaram, Dyneshwar and Bahinabai and give platform to the budding talents of India. Saptasur plans to take this spiritual & devotional music across the length and breadth of India.
