Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah CELEBRATES  Successful run of 1000 Episodes

Neela Telefilm’s serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah celebrated the completion of 1000 episodes on 9 November 2012 at Novatel, Juhu. A show that had begun its journey with a TRP of 0.6 has travelled all the way upto a TRP of 5 too, all the while maintaining it’s number 1 position on SAB TV.

Along with the producer & concept director Asit Kumarr Modi other celebs present at the party to celebrate this unprecedented success were Dilip Joshi, Disha Wakani, Shailesh Lodha,

Mr N.P. Singh, Anooj Kapoor, Shashi & Anu Ranjan, Karan Grover, Lekh Tondon, Sanjay Chhel, JD Majithia, Indira Krishnan, Kavita Kaushik, Neeraj Vora,

Dolly Bindra, Bhavya Gandhi, Amit Bhatt, Mandar Chandavarkar, Sonalika Joshi, Neha Mehta, Moonmoon Dutta, Kavikumar Azad, Ambika, Kush Shah, Jennifer Mistry Bansilal, Samay Shah, Charlie, Ghanshyam Naik, Shyam Pathak, Directors Harshad & Manav, and the rest of the cast and crew of the show.

After a short show-reel to showcase the journey, a huge cake was cut. Dilip Joshi  opened the bottle of Champaign after which floor was thrown open for dancing and merry making.

A brainchild of producer Asit Kumarr Modi, the show had begun as a challenge for him. Adapting a successful Gujarati column ‘duniya ne undha chashma’ by Taarak Mehta into a serial, was looked at as wrong idea by others but Asit Kumarr Modi was confident. Completely involved in scripting, look and story line of the serial from the beginning, today he stands victorious.

To add to his joy is the fact that the show has achieved success without any generation leap throughout its journey and this is the first comedy show to have completed this mile stone. “We still have so many more stories and ideas with us. This is the advantage of my constant involvement in the scripting and designing of the show,” says Asit Kumarr Modi.

Neela Telefilm’s produced serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltaa Chashmah telecasts Monday to Friday at 8.30 PM on Sab TV.
