Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2014: Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria felicitates ‘Police Cup’ Winners
Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon, in association with Mumbai Police, felicitated the winners of the Police Cup Relay Race category of the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2014. The champions were felicitated by Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria in the city today.
The men’s full Marathon (relay team) finished the race in 02:38:53 seconds and received the winner’s cheque of Rs. 60000 while the women’s team finished the race in 03:07:21 seconds and received the winner’s cheque of Rs. 40000.
This year, 25 teams consisting of 100 participants participated in the Relay Race. Each team comprised 4 members and each runner covered a distance of 10.5 km to reach the finish line.
The Police Cup is the brainchild of Vivek Singh, Joint MD, Procam International. The 12th edition of Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon will once again witness the Police force competing in the Relay Race in the second edition of the Police Cup on Sunday, January 18, 2015.
