Harsh Gupta`s experience with Shriya saran
Fashion designer Harsh Gupta says “it was such a memorable and overwhelming experience to work with Shriya Saran, i can`t explain. He says, i am a big fan of Shriya and found her too captivating, someone very-very different from other actress. She is so talented, humble, gorgeous and unique, its simply unbelievable. I would always remember Shriya and her family for their love and hospitality that she bestowed upon me through out the process. She is truly a gem of a person and rare soul. We worked on this dance-look together, she well explained me her choice and then i researched more on how the 80s was, how sridevi looked like, her costume elements, style, colors and what all can be done with this look now. We tried to implement small small details to see to it that the flavor comes right.
He also thanks choreographer Hormuzd for his support and love that he showered on Harsh Gupta, he says, this project was impossible without him. With a brief like this from Shriya, you can`t go wrong so we worked on a gold body suit and a flamenco frill-tiered skirt in warm color palette of acid red, orange. We mixed all tones of red in different fabrics and textures to get the look right. It was done in matter of just two days. We worked day and night to make this look, just the way shriya imagined. I feel so glad to see her in this costumes, she is simply irreplaceable. He adds to this, he loves designing costumes and has also worked in past with Raell Padamse, Hormuzd Khambata, Sandip soparkar, Jesse randhawa on many dance costume projects. He would be soon seen designing costumes for some very interesting upcoming bollywood, tollywood and dance show project.
