Slave Market’ featuring Apeksha Porwal releases on MBC1 this Ramadan!
English-Arabic web show ’Slave Market’, witnessed a successful run online on Shahid, the biggest streaming platform in the Middle East. It stars former Miss India, Apeksha Porwal as an Indian princess, and is finally set for a Ramadan release on MBC1 which is owned by the biggest media giant MBC Studios. It received a lot of praises and recognition and Apeksha’s character was highly lauded.
Slave Market has five stories comprising an international cast and crew. It was shot across Egypt, Lebanon, and Tunisia. It is produced by MBC Studios and directed by the Tunisian director well known for El Maestro and Harga, Lassaad Oueslati and written by famed Kuwaiti writer Heba Hamada.
This series is set in the 1900s and stars former Miss India and Undekhi actor Apeksha as an Indian princess character Princess Lavani and her entrapment in slavery along with a turbulent love story. Her character sees quite a difficult journey in the show and the viewers are really impressed with her performance and looking forward to seeing her more on-screen. She received immense praise and appreciation from critics and viewers alike.
