Showcases its wide range of SS and AW’13 Collections –

Skechers the fashion and lifestyle brand from USA debuted at the Indian Fashion Forum on the 20th March at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Goregaon, Mumbai.

Skechers showcased the shoe ranges through a Fashion show on the 20thof March at 7 pm.  16 adults and 4 kids walked down the ramp to display performance, sports, lifestyle and kids range of shoes. The ramp was lit with high energy music and adorable kids who turned out to be the stars of the show.

Commenting on the occasion Sanjeev Agrawal, MD, Skechers South Asia Pvt. Ltd. said, “Over the past 6 months we have been busy making our presence felt both amongst the consumer and the retailers. India Fashion Forum is another step in taking our wide range of shoes ranging from Lifestyle to Performance to Sport to the trade”.

Sanjeev also added, “In future the company will be focused on building a strong distribution network and create a preference for Skechers amongst the customers.”

Skechers is available in more than 100 countries across the world and offers a wide range of shoes. In India, Skechers was launched by Skechers South Asia Pvt. Ltd. in the month of October 2012. Since then the brand has been heavily promoted on TV, Print, Radio and Digital. In fact Skechers is the only footwear company to launch a TV campaign within the first quarter of its launch.

Backed by aggressive advertising, Skechers has been able to carve out its space and is being sold through more than 200 doors. In fact, Skechers is in demand by all the leading retailers that includes Planet Sports, Reliance Footprint, Metro Shoes, Lifestyle, Central, Mochi, Pantaloons. Skechers is also being promoted and sold through online portals like Jabong and Myntra.

One of the key strengths for Skechers has been the wide range of shoes for women. These shoes have been specially designed with feminine sensibilities rather than knock down version of men’s shoes. In fact there is an increasing demand for women range of shoes from various retail partners.
