Singer Sukhvinder Singh bids adieu to Jhalak Dikhla Jaa

Ever since Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa first launched, it has been singer Sukhvinder Singh who has awed the jury by showcasing his learnings week-upon-week. And now, five weeks in, the singer finally calls it day when he found himself pitted against Mouni Roy in the bottom two leading to his exit from the show. Even though Sukhvinder Singh worked extremely hard and left no stone unturned to work on his dancing skills, eventually his journey had to come to an end.

Always smiling and friendly, Sukhvinder along with his choreographer Bhawna won many hearts with his attempts at multiple traditional and international dance forms. Being a non-dancer, Sukhvinder was appreciated by all the three judges for showing immense improvement during his stint on the show. Be it impressing the judges with his Punjabi moves or adopting a never-seen-before hip-hop avatar, Sukhvinder wowed audiences with his dance moves. In an attempt to up the ante and put his best foot forward, Sukhvinder strived hard as a result of which he shone in his performances on stage. Pitted against the brilliant Mouni Roy in the face off, Sukhvinder put up a fighting performance in his final act. However, as all good things to come an end, so did Sukhi ji’s dance journey which, in one word, can only be described as awesome!

A visibly satisfied Sukhvinder accepted his elimination graciously and commented, “I enjoyed my stint on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. It gave me immense opportunity to learn many professional dance forms. Before this, I had only danced at weddings. On the show, I was very moody and had a laid back attitude. But, after participating on the show, I have become punctual. I finish my reocrdings too on time. I was not expecting to survive on the show for longer than a month. But I survived for five weeks! Being an artiste, I have respect for every art form be it painting or dancing. I will continue to dance and will practice every day for minimum two hours.”
