Shreyas Talpade: Lucky mascot for Big Star Entertainment Award
Actor/producer Shreyas Talpade hosted the famed Big Star Entertainment Awards for the fourth consecutive year. The awards were held on 18th December .The actor has been hosting the awards right from the year of its inception, in 2010. The award function is a gala event which is attended by the crème de la crème of the industry. The producers of the show invite Shreyas to be host every year because they consider Shreyas to be lucky for the Gala night. The award show saw the highest TRP of 5.9 in the events category across all channels, last year.
Speaking on the occasion, actor and second time producer, Shreyas said, “I have always loved hosting. It has a certain flare and liberty that a scripted film will not be able to provide. Also there is a lot of myself in the way I or for that matter any one hosts an event. I like to bring that personal side out for my fans via the small screen. More than anything else, the night sees so many industry people that it does not feel far from hosting a family gathering”
The awards are based on the votes from the fan opposed to the traditional jury format. The awards will be telecasted on 31st December, 2013 on the small screen.
