Actor, entrepreneur and now author, Shilpa Shetty Kundra has always been the poster girl for health and fitness in the country with her hourglass figure and positive attitude. 
Despite recently celebrating her 40th birthday, the stunner continues to give the 20-somethings a run for their money. Hence it comes as no surprise that she is constantly asked “What’s your secret? “.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra now turns author with “The Great Indian Diet” ,a  diet and nutrition book that reiterates how nutritious your locally grown and sourced ingredients are and encourages people to look for good health within our Indian borders.
Talking about why your Rajma Chawal is healthier than your Quinoa , Shilpa reveals this and much more in the book ,which she hopes will put several taboos to rest.
The former actress also reveals the diet she follows to maintain her svelte figure and her sanity !

SHILPA SHETTY KUNDRA’S DIET :

Breakfast :
A glass of warm water.
Papaya smoothie with lemon.
Red juice (Apple+Beetroot+Carrot+Tomato+Pomegranate) or Green Juice (Cucumber+Spinach) .
Oats Porridge or 2 eggs.
A cup of milk tea.
Lunch :
Rice + 2 spoons ghee.
A bowl of Dal
A bowl of Vegetable.
A slice of Fish.
End the meal with a piece of jaggery.
Snacks on :
Makhana toasted with ghee ,salt and pepper.
2 eggs .
A glass of tea.
Dinner : (before 8pm)
Soup.
Stir fried vegetables or paneer.
