SHIAMAK GETS DEEPIKA WAAKING !
Ace choreographer Shiamak Davar who is known to bringing western styles to India and adding his unique touch to it is back again this time with Waaking. And who better to teach than Deepika Padukone. Shiamak who is choreographing an upcoming award ceremony picked Deepika’s hit song Tum Hi Ho Bandhu to show India a glimpse of waaking.
‘The style requires a lot of style and is basically fast arm movements to music, and Deepika with her long arms and grace is perfect! It’s such a pleasure choreographing Deepika, she a very interesting mix of east and west and that just works perfectly for my personal style of choreography’, says Shiamak.
So as the new year promises to bring a whole lot of new ideas and cinematic brilliance, this one style that will have many takers in 2013! Kudos to Shiamak for keeping India up to date with the international dance scene ala Shiamak Style!
