Sanjay Gupta pays tribute to Amitabh Bachchan in Shootout at Wadala
While Priyanka Chopra’s look in her special appearance song , Shootout at Wadala’s Babli Badmaash was inspired by the 1981 hit Yaarana .An ode of sorts , Amitabh Bachchan’s trademark outfit from the chartbuster ‘Jumma Chumma De De’ song is sported by John Abraham in popular song ‘Laila Teri Le Legi’.
Wearing a white shirt, black trousers, black jacket and red stole –John Abraham who has earlier worked with Mr.Bachchan in films like Viruddh and Aetbaar ,matches steps with Sunny Leone, reminiscent of the yesteryear hit.
Says Sanjay Gupta, “You can’t claim to make a film set in the bygone era and not get influenced by Mr. Bachchan. We all have grown up on his films. His songs like ‘Saara Zamaana‘ [Yaarana] and ‘Jumma Chumma‘ [Hum] are chartbusters of the times gone by. I am proud and honoured to be living those times again with my songs.”
