Ranveer Singh & Deepika Padukone fly to Pune in a private charter for the launch of the Gajanana song from Bajirao Mastani 

Ranveer Singh & Deepika Padukone who were scheduled to fly to Pune today by a helicopter for the launch of The Gajanana song from Eros International & Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani , were derailed due to bad weather conditions and were forced to fly back to Mumbai. 

The cast, however,was so determined in making the launch the biggest the nation has ever seen, that they decided to catch a private charter from Mumbai and fly to the venue in Pune, the Shree Chhatrapati Shivaji Sports Complex, Balewadi Stadium, where the Commonwealth Games were held.

 

Says a source, ” Keeping in line with the larger-than-life,massive scale of the film , the makers launched the song with complete fanfare and had over 5200 students from across the country attend this.  The two actors who had taken a helicopter to fly to the venue in Pune, had to turn back and land in Mumbai due to unforeseen weather conditions .They were however so determined to have the event go smoothly and meet with the students who have been preparing for the occasion ,that they decided to catch a private charter and fly to Pune.”

Ranveer Singh aka Bajirao took to a popular microblogging site to update his fans on the status of their arrival. He tweeted, “Our chopper couldn’t land in Pune and we had to turn back.We next catch a car, that takes us to a charter and then another car to another chopper. Our good folks at Bhalewadi stadium hung in there.Doing everything to make this happen”.

Said Deepika Padukone, “The Ganjanana song launch is something we both have looked forward to and the entire team has spared no effort, in making this launch, one to remember.Unfortunately due to bad weather conditions,our helicopter was forced to land in Mumbai and we caught a charter from Mumbai airport and flew to Pune to be part of this extravaganza.We’d like to thank everyone involved in making today a success”.
