Producer Rajan Shahi under Director’s Kut Productions who has given
hit shows like Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai and Yeh Ristha Kya Kehlata Hai
has come up with a telefilm for Star Plus which is unqiue.
Star Plus had came up with the thought of making the First love story
at the backdrop of marriages and said no person can make it better
than Rajan Shahi to make a film on marriages. The film journey start
form Mumbai to Delhi via Pataudi.
Producer Rajan Shahi says, “The beautiful, romantic and royal setting
of pataudi acts as an ideal character for the setting of love story.
Special attention has been taken to go beyond the every aspect to be
it writing, direction, costumes & music to give it a film feel”.
A lot of local talent from Delhi was especially casted for the big fat
Punjabi wedding. Everybody actually felt there was an actual wedding
happening because it was very realistically done.
The film stars Gautam Rode, Kushal Punjabi, Dimple Jhagiani and the
new discovery Mala Salariya. The film will be aired on 11th August at
9 pm.
Director’s Kut current shows include the hit Yeh Ristha Kya Kehlata
Hai on Star Plus, Kuch Toh Log Kahege on Sony and Amrit Manthan on
Life OK.
Rajan Shahi has talent like Angad Hasija, Sara Khan and Hina Khan to
the industry and all actors whether experienced or new want to work
with his production house as it is one of the most professionally
managed set up.
About Rajan Shahi
Rajan Shahi in his early age was associated with the film industry due
to his maternal grandfather veteran film actor Mr. P. Jairaj (who
received Dada Saheb Phalke Puruskaar in 1982). During school days he
assisted Gulzar, lekh tendon and Sanjay Khan. In 1994 he joined
director/producer Ravi Rai and was actively involved in famous serials
like Sailaab and Thoda Hai Thode Ki Jarorat Hai. Rajan directed his
first independent show “Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi” in 1999 and has
directed hit shows like Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, Hamare Tumhare, Rishtey,
Kareena Kareena, Reth, Saat Phere, Mamtaa, Millee, Virasaat and Saathi
Re. He worked as a series director for Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan and
Maayaka. In 2007 he opened his production house Director’s Kut and
turned producer with Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai on Star Plus which was
followed by Yeh Ristha Kya Kehlata Hai. Both the shows won lots of
accolades for their content and are no 1 and 2 shows. He intends to
expand and make more TV shows and also produce feature films in
future.
