Rahul Bose pledges for mental health awareness with over 2500 Mumbaikars

Rahul Bose, known to support unique social causes is now going to be cycling with more than 2500 citizens of Mumbai to create awareness and remove all stigma associated with Mental health. Ride to Mpower, an initiative by the Mpower Movement will be held on 11th March 2018 to bring to the forefront conversations on this issue.

Mrs. Neerja Birla, Founder and Chairperson, Mpower initiated the “It’s ok not to be ok” challenge holding a placard urging people to seek help when they feel something is not right! Rahul Bose was the first Bollywood celebrity to take up this challenge and put up a picture of himself with this placard.

So far, Bollywood stars Riteish Deshmukh, Aryaman Birla, Ajinkya Rahane, Robin Uthappa and RJ Hrishikesh Kannan have joined him in pledging their support. This message has also reached countries like Spain, Poland, Russia and Germany who are joining in to champion the cause.

The Mpower movement by Mrs. Neerja Birla has till date seen the support of business leaders, mental health activists, inspirational youth icons and city-based school children.

On supporting Ride to Mpower, Rahul Bose, said, “Mental health is often a topic perceived as a stigma. This prevents the topic to become a part of daily conversations. I’m happy to play a small role in getting more people to start talking about mental health and encourage everyone to seek help, because it’s ok not to be ok!”
