Race 2 takes the box office by storm
With a 70-80% occupancy in multiplexes ,the film that released in 3200 domestic screens, received a bumper opening in Delhi, Noida, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Jaipur, going houseful in centers within the Delhi, Rajasthan and Punjab circuit.
Going by the early trend experts predict Race 2 to show an even further jump by the evening and night shows, followed by increasing numbers with the national holiday weekend.
Says producer Ramesh Taurani, “We are very excited that the film has received an unprecedented response and is doing so well not just in prime cities but pan India….We have received great feedback and look forward to its performance over the weekend”.
The sequel to the 2008 hit also received an encouraging response from the critics – Commenting on the first half says Taran Adarsh, “Just when you think this would be the last twist, another one leaps from nowhere, catching you by complete surprise. There’s hardly any dull moment in this hour.”
