Pushkin Award conferred on Mr. Vijay Kalantri, President, All India Association of Industries (AIAI)

Russian President Hon’ble Mr. Vladimir Putin awarded the prestigious Pushkin Award t Mr. Vijay Kalantri, a prominent industrialist and President of All India Association of Industries (AIAI).  Mr. Kalantri is also Vice Chairman of World Trade Centre Mumbai and WTCA Board Director, New York.  The Pushkin Award represents a State Decoration and is awarded to Citizens of Russian Federation and foreign nationals for significant achievements in various fields of Russian system.

The award in the category of trade was conferred on Mr. Vijay Kalantri at an august ceremony in New Delhi on the occasion of Russian Day on June 12, 2013 by H.E. Mr. Alexander M. Kadakin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to India, in recognition of Mr. Kalantri’s outstanding contribution towards promotion of Russia and India trade and investment cooperation.

Mr. Kalantri was instrumental in setting up the Russia-India Trade House Mumbai (RITHM), in Mumbai in 2012 with the active support of the Embassy of Russian Federation in India for strengthening trade and economic relations between the two friendly nations.  RITHM was established by the Consulate of Russian Federation of Mumbai, World Trade Centre Mumbai and the All India Association of Industries.
