President Pranab Mukherjee will be in Mumbai on Friday, December 27, 2013 to inaugurate the  Chemical Technology Conference – CHEMCON 2013 at Matunga and the 10th World Zoroastrian Congress at Worli.
CHEMCON 2013, is an acclaimed conference on chemical technology that brings together industry veterans, researchers and students to share their views and best practices. The theme of CHEMCON 2013 is ‘Innovation in Food Security and Health Care’, which has universal significance.  The conference is hosted by the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, which is at the forefront of research, education, training and industrial collaboration in chemical engineering and chemical technology.   The conference will deliberate on many topics covering bio-chemical engineering,  green chemistry, water treatment, fossil fuel and alternative energy sources, health-care technology, food processing technology, among others.  A special Indo-North American session is also being organized in which the American Institute of Chemical Engineering and the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering will actively participate.
The World Zoroastrian Congress is being held in India after a gap of 23 years.  The 10th Congress holds a special significance, as it is being held in Mumbai, the birth place of Parsi entrepreneurship and its theme is “Zoroastrianism in the 21st Century : Nurturing Growth and Affirming Identity”.  More than 1500 delegates from across the world are expected to participate in the four day event organized by the Bombay Parsi Panchayat.
