‘Peer Parai Jane Re’ Virtual concert raises funds for covid-hit artists

Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Kapil Sharma, Kailash Kher, Kumar Vishvaas, and many other celebrities appealed to the public for help to needy artists by this Initiative.

New Delhi, Keeping in mind the struggle of artists of various art genres by Sanskar Bharti, Delhi province, a virtual fundraising concert organized on 9th July, in which the eminent artists of the country’s art, literature, music, dance, and cinema participated to raise funds for needy artists.

In this virtual concert, collecting funds for financial assistance of artists affected by the corona pandemic was seriously considered. It was envisaged to provide assistance to artists under social responsibility from corporate houses. Efforts will be made by Sanskar Bharati to meet the minimum needs of the artists who are lacking from the assistance received by the society.

Renowned actors such as Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Indian stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma and Singers including Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Sonu Nigam, Kailash Kher appealed to the public for help to covid-hit artists and gave inspiring speeches in the concert, that was streamed by thousands of people.

Shri Pandit Birju Maharaj, Amjad Ali Khan, Dr. Sonal Mansingh, Subhash Ghai, Rajendra Gangani, Nagraj Havaldar, Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan, Ms. Kavita Seth,  Daler Mehndi, Mikka Singh, Ms. Madhu Shree, Anup Jalota, Prakash Jha, Suresh Wadekar, Mrs. Madhu Tailang, Mrs. Anuradha Paudwal, Hansraj Hans, Vasifuddin Dagar, Anwar Khan also participated.

Campaign president and MP Shri Hansraj Hans said “Peer Parai Jaane Re is the biggest campaign in recent years to help the artists in this covid crisis and we want to give assistance to the far-flung artists. In this program and even in the future, Sanskar Bharti is committed to the advancement of the art and to help the artists.

The patron board of the campaign includes Kathak emperor Pandit Birju Maharaj, dancer and art scholar and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sonal Mansingh, eminent sarod player Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, well-known sculptor Ram V. Sutar, Pandit Sajan Mishra, senior journalist Rajat Sharma, Bharatnatyam dancer Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan, drama writer, and director and retired IAS officer D.P. Sinha’s name is included. Retired IAS officer Shakti Sinha and Bhupendra Kaushik and Mahendra Gupta have been nominated as treasurers. Advocates Bansuri Swaraj daughters of former External Affairs Minister Late Sushma Swaraj and Pragya Agrawal have been made members. The president of the campaign is Shri Hansraj Hans ji. Famous lyricist Manoj Muntasir and Indian folk singer Malini Awasthi hosted the concert.
