The 5th & final episode of Sex Chat with Pappu & Papa tackles one of the most misunderstood subjects in the world – homosexuality. Often lack of knowledge is the trigger to most fears, prejudices and more. Today we hope to set that right. Join us as Shireen goes into labor while Anand meets an old college friend played by Filmistaan’s Sharib Hashmi after ages who’s there to get his gay partner’s [played by stand up comic, YouTuber Abish Mathew] fractured foot fixed. Also seen in the episode are our own Dingo & Khanna [Saba Azad & Shreya Dhanwanthary] from Ladies Room looking for the, well, ladies room, what else? As the Watsas wait to welcome the new addition to the family, Daddu has some awkward questions this time for Anand about homosexuality. Showcasing how often ignorance has no age! Our season’s finale closes with some answers and several new questions besides a beautiful song & music video titled ‘Love You Papa’ in the end. Don’t miss it.
Sachin Pilgaonkar AKA Daddu signs off with, “The last episode of season 1 is also with a message. Watch the homosexuality episode of ‘Sex Chat with Pappu & Papa’. Its happy & gay!”.
Adds Sharib, “Half of the people on the set were dear friends! So it never felt like I was working and on top of that, with so many friends, we got a legend, FREE! It was a big honor working with Sachin (Pilgaonkar) sir, and I’d like to thank Ashish (Patil; Director, Sex Chat with Pappu & Papa). If you want to know my thoughts on homosexuality watch this finale episode! And yes, I humbly request the government to lift section 377 of the Indian Penal Code and let the homosexuals live a normal life in India. I hope that in the future no Indian homosexual has to travel abroad to get married”.
Starring Anand Tiwari, Kabir Sajid, TV’s favorite Sanjeeda Shaikh, Dum Lagaa Ke Haisha’s Alka Amin and veteran Sachin Pilgaonkar, the series marks the directorial debut of Ashish Patil, Head of Y-Films and has been written by Gopal Datt & Devang Kakkad with story development by Amritpal Bindra & Anand Tiwari. The story revolves around the Watsa family, featuring a curious 7-year-old boy, Pappu – who shoots the most outrageous questions to his Papa, Anand. Who attempts to answer them to the best of his ability – initially with a lot of awkwardness and eventually with a lot of fun, simple anecdotes. All this while his own father – the very traditional, conservative and possibly ‘khadoos’ Pitaji – keeps questioning his actions.
