Officine Panerai Celebrates Italian Craftsmanship

To celebrate the Italian Craftsmanship, Officine Panerai the Italian luxury watchmakers organised an exclusive evening at the Residence of Ambassador of Italy H.E. Giacomo Sanfelice de Monteforte, in New Delhi.

The evening co-hosted by Vidushi Mehra & Rima Mehra along with Milvin George, Managing Director, Officine Panerai, Middle East & Anindita Bhattacharya, Business Head, Officine Panerai, India saw an exclusive gathering of city’s elite who got a taste of Panerai’s iconic magnificence, spirit and legacy.

On display were Panerai’s 2012 novelties and the in-house movements, presenting the history of the Italian haute horlogerie manufacturer. Each Panerai watch is produced at the company’s manufacturing facility in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

Officine Panerai designs, develops and produces the movements and cases for its watches inhouse, with assembly carried out at the factory, which is also responsible for quality control (at) each and every stage of production.

The guests in attendance at the splendid evening enjoyed a breathtaking ambience that spelt decadence all the way!

The sprawling lawns of the Embassy of Italy were translated into a luxurious setting, with a Jazz performance by popular vocalist Sonam Kalra. Her music was a joyous mix of classics & lively jazz favorites.

The guests were also enthralled by the Live Art presentation with talented artists who created striking pieces of art, on the over-riding theme of Italy.

It was a perfect evening celebrating craftsmanship & horology novelties in the company of crème-da-la crème of the capital city and watch connoisseurs.

Officine Panerai was founded in Florence in 1860 as a watch-making establishment, shop and school; for years it supplied the Italian Navy with precision timepieces, particularly to cover the needs of the special underwater diving corps. The projects it worked on at the time, including the Luminor and Radiomir watches, were covered by the military secrets act for years and Panerai watches were launched on the international market after the Richemont Group purchased the brand in 1997.

Today, Officine Panerai is the only Italian haute horlogerie manufacturer. It develops and manufactures its watches and movements in Neuchâtel, combining Italian design and history with Swiss watch-making know-how. Panerai watches are sold all over the world through an exclusive network of distributors in addition to its boutiques in Florence, Portofino, Geneva, Madrid, Paris, Moscow, Los Angeles, New York, Buenos Aires, Beirut, Doha, Dubai,Boca Raton, Riyadh, Beijing, Hong Kong, Macao, Shanghai and Tokyo.
