Nikhil Dwivedi riding high on the success of Vikram Bhatt’s HATE STORY is all set to play the role of a dreaded gangster Abu Salem. His character will be called CAPTAIN, as Salem was referred to, reveals the source. The film will be shot in South Africa, USA, Mumbai, Dubai and maybe some parts of South Africa will be used for the scenes set in Portugal.
The source close to the production house further reveals that the film tentatively titled ‘CAPTAIN’ based on Salem will go on floors at the end of the year as currently the producer Suryaveer and Nikhil will be completing their upcoming film Tamanchey, an acidic love story, which will release in 3 months.
Earlier it was speculated that producer Suryaveer current film Tamanchey was based on Abu Salem-Monica Bedi love story with Richa Chadda playing Salem love interest. The source further clarifies that Tamanchey has nothing to do with the Gangster and maybe the speculation since it was the same producer.
Industry folks acknowledge that Nikhil career is on the upswing with critical appreciation as an actor for his performances in Shor in the city, Raavan, Hate Story. And judging by reports of the rushes of Tamanchey, the trade is abuzz about the box-office potential of the hard hitting love story.
