NFDC’s production Anhey Ghorey Da Daan (Alms of the Blind Horse) which has been directed by first time director Gurvindar Singh, has won the national Award in two categories viz –Best Director and Best Cinematographer.
The film is produced by the National Film Development Corporation of India and recently won the Special Jury Mention at the5th Abu Dhabi Film Festival 2011. Nina Lath Gupta, MD,NFDC says, “Anhey Ghorey Da Daan has underlined NFDC’s belief in and commitment to promoting new talent in all languages.”
“This is an encouragement for Punjabi filmmakers. I am thrilled with the kind of response my movie has received at both national and international levels,” said Gurvinder Singh (Director) who studied filmmaking at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune.
