New committee elected at Freelance Media Journalist Association’s AGM
At the recently held Annual General Body Meeting of Freelance Media Journalist Association in Andheri, Mumbai; a new committee was formed after seeking votes of members who were present in huge numbers.
President Pradeep Gupta ( Ex AGM SBI ) was elected the President, Chetan Mathur (Professor) and Hemant Sanganee ( Creative Director & Media Consultant , Editor and Publisher : (www.dumkhum.com) as the Vice-Presidents, Ashwani Shukla as General Secretary, Manohar Thakur (Director : Vision Tv), and Karmik Varma as Joint Secretary, Ashfaq Khopekar ( Director : Afreen channel ) as Treasurer , Vijay Saurav and Dr. M.L. Gupta elected as Committee Members in election.
Ashwani Shukla, General Secretary, FMJA “I feel more members should join the association and be active. We will ensure the rights of freelance media professionals are safeguarded. We have planned many activities for the well being of the members like media education, new media awareness, etc. We are looking forward to active participation from all the members.”
Also at the meeting, accounts of the previous financial year were scrutinized and discussed upon. A stock was also taken of the total assets with the association. Chartered Accountant Sunil Khanna graced the occasion with his presence and endorsed the accounts he audited for the financial year. Old committee members thanked the gathered crowd and welcomed the new committee members.
