Nadeem Saifi Persuaded ‘Ishq Forever’ Makers To Cast Newcomers
It is a well-known fact that composer Nadeem Saifi will be making his comeback to Bollywood with upcoming rom-com ‘Ishq Forever’, but what many might not know is that Nadeem was also responsible for the casting of the lead pair.
Producer Shabeer Boxwala confirmed and added, “We had flirted with the idea of casting well-known names, but Nadeem convinced me to cast newcomers. He pointed out that his music has made stars out of newcomers and that we should make stars and not cast stars. Today, when I think about it, Nadeem was absolutely right.”
Nadeem had composed music for hit films like ‘Phool Aur Kaante’ (Ajay Devgn’s debut film), ‘Deewana’ (Shah Rukh Khan’s debut release), ‘Aashiqui’, ‘Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahi’, ‘Pardes’ and many others.
Produced by Ajay Shah, Harry Gandhi and Shabeer Boxwala under their banner Friday Cine Entertainment, ‘Ishq Forever’ is a love story in the tradition of ‘It Happened One Night’, ‘Jab We Met’ and ‘Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi’ where the boy and the girl meet on a journey that changes their lives. The film, which has been directed by Sameer Sippy, is slated to release on February 19.
