Ghulam Dastgir Khan has been showered with various Awards, including ‘Shahenshah – E- Ghazal (Jaycees Club, Kanpur), Best Ghazal Singer (HMV in 1973), Begum Akhtar Award (by Governor of UP Shri Motilal Vohra in 1993).
Where as Mahalaxmi Iyer is known for Academy Award winning song “Jai Ho” for A. R. Rahman.
