The ninth edition of Mumbai’s biggest ‘off-season’ jagran, perhaps never seen in Mumbai in recent memory, at the Film City in Goregaon (E) may not look like as one of the typical party scenes usually associated with a Saturday nite. But this event proved a perfect foil for more than half a lakh devotees of Mamtamai Shri Radhe Maa (incidentally it was her birthday) congregating for Ma Jagdambe Jagran and the opportunity to glorify Universal Motherhood. Hosted by politico and entrepreneur Manmohan Gupta, the event saw musical performances by Anup Jalota, Anuradha Paudwal, actor-singer Manoj Tiwari, Sardool Sikander et al. Member of Parliament Sanjay Nirupam also seemed to be enjoy the proceedings. A soothing affair.
